5 ARTS STUDIO (Troll SHop) - The Arensbacks are originally from Denmark and they make Trolls and Gnomes based on bedtime stories their father used to tell. Almost everything comes from the forest and the tour of the shop is a unique experience. 800-951-2537

NEWPORT COMMUNITY CENTER - Has an indoor Swimming pool, Basketball Court, weight room, and Game Room. Cost for swimming is $2.00 per 4 hours. 423-623-7304

Other places that are not so close:
CADES COVE - Wonderful part of the national forest were you can hike, ride horses, see deer and bear, rent bicycles, and go into some authentic cabins. The drive through the park in an automobile or by rented bicycles has different courses up to 10 miles long.

DOLLYWOOD - A great little park with a Bald Eagle Reserve, authentic craftsman booths (Blacksmith, elaborate woodworking, paintings), and OK rides.
